Popcorn Popper Recipes Popcorn Popper Tips
Frequently asked questions
Why is my popcorn chewy, and how do I keep it crispy?
Chewy popcorn comes from steam. The steam vent in the lid lets it escape while your popcorn pops. When the popping slows, tip the popcorn into a bowl right away so the steam can't settle back in.
How much do I use?
Use 1/4 cup of regular popcorn kernels. It takes about 2 1/2 minutes in most microwaves, with no preheating.
Do I need oil?
No. If you like, you can coat the kernels with 1 teaspoon of oil or seasoning first.
Can I make kettle corn in it?
Yes. Melt 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of butter in the popper for 15 to 20 seconds. Add 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt, 2 tablespoons of light brown sugar and 1/4 cup of kernels. Put the lid on, shake, and microwave for 1:45 to 2:30, until the popping slows. Tip it into a bowl right away, because the sugar hardens and sticks.
Why do I get unpopped kernels?
Old kernels dry out. Store them in an airtight container in a cool spot, not in the fridge or freezer. To revive them, soak them for 10 to 20 minutes, pat them dry and pop.
How do I clean it?
It's dishwasher safe, and the lid fits inside the popper for storage. It's made of 100% food-grade, BPA-free platinum silicone and has a lifetime, no-questions-asked replacement warranty.
